About the Furubotn Archives

Peder Furubotn is a relatively unknown figure in Norwegian history, despite his prominent role in the labor movement, particularly as a leader in the resistance against the Germans during the war. He played a significant part in the fight against the dominance of the Norwegian communist movement by the Soviet Union (under Stalin's rule).

It is crucial, especially in the current times we live in, to highlight Furubotn's story. Once again, the world's superpowers are vying for influence in our countries, and the material surrounding Furubotn becomes relevant once more.

This website aims to focus on Furubotn's life and political struggle, showcasing previously unknown audio and video recordings. The Furubotn Archives will make Peder Furubotn's history accessible to a modern audience while providing new materials for research.

The organization was established in October 2022.
